THUNDERBOLTS*

CIA director Valentina Allegra de Fontaine sets a group of expendable operatives — Yelena Belova, Bucky Barnes, US Agent, Ghost, Red Guardian, and Taskmaster — against each other in a cover-up gone wrong. What they discover is Sentry, an unstable god-tier being with a dark alter ego called the Void. A team, born by accident, that Marvel very much wants you to call something else by the end.

• The title's asterisk is a wink at the team's rebrand in the final act.
• Sentry's MCU debut.
• Sets up a direct collision with the Fantastic Four's arrival.
