THE AVENGERS

Loki, exiled from Asgard, arrives on Earth with an alien army and the Tesseract, intent on subjugating humanity. Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D. assemble a team of extraordinary individuals — Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, and Hawkeye — who must overcome egos and old wounds to stop the invasion. The Battle of New York will define what heroism means in this new world, and set the stage for threats that lie far beyond it.

• First time all six original Avengers appear together.
• Mark Ruffalo took over the role of Bruce Banner.
• The shawarma post-credits scene was shot the day after the premiere.
