IRON MAN 3

Haunted by the Battle of New York, Tony Stark struggles with panic attacks and insomnia as a mysterious terrorist known as the Mandarin launches attacks across the globe. When his home is destroyed and Pepper Potts's life threatened, Tony is stranded without his suits, forced to survive on his own wits. What he uncovers is a conspiracy tied to a decade-old grudge — and an experimental serum called Extremis that turns people into living weapons.

• The 'twist' Mandarin was famously divisive — later addressed in Shang-Chi.
• First MCU film in Phase Two.
• Directed by Shane Black, who also directed RDJ in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.
